Chex Muddy Buddies

1 c. chocolate chips
½ c. peanut butter
¼ c. butter or margarine
1 t. vanilla
9 c. Chex cereal
1½ c. powdered sugar

Microwave directions...
1. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in microwave until melted together and mixture is smooth.
2. In a large bowl, place cereal. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until well coated. Pour into a 2 gallon plastic bag.
3. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag, shake until well coated. Spread on wax paper too cool.
Store in refrigerator.

Stove-top direction...
Same as above except melt chocolate mixture in a sauce pan over low heat.

Mix it up !! Try adding in with the powdered sugar: raisins, dries fruit, nuts, marshmallows, gummy bears,Cocoa Puffs, Trix, Lucky Charms...the sky's the limit!!!

Pumpkin Bars

4 eggs
1 2/3 c. white sugar
1 c. oil
1 16oz. pumpkin (2 cups)
2 c. flour
2t. baking powder
2t. cinnamon
1 t. salt
1t. baking soda

Beat till fluffy.
Pour into a greased and floured cookie sheet.

Bake @350º for 25-30 minutes.
Cool completely.

Frosting
8 oz. cream cheese - softened
1/2 cube of butter - softened
1 t. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar

Beat together and spread gently over cooled cake.

Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad

I am not a fan of broccoli or cauliflower...but love this salad!!!

1 head broccoli - chopped into bite size pieces
1 head cauliflower - chopped into bite size pieces
¼ c. chopped onion
1 lb. fried bacon - or you can use the bacon already cooked (not bacon bits)
Mix together in bowl and set aside.
Dressing:
2 c. mayo
¼ c. Parmesan cheese
¼ c. sugar
¼ t. salt
2 T. vinegar
Mix together and toss with broccoli mix.
Transfer to 9x13 casserole dish.
Top with 8 oz. mozzarella cheese.

Frito Salad

1 24 oz. Catalina dressing
3 lg. tomatoes - chopped
2 bunches green onions - chopped
2 green peppers - chopped
1 can red beans - drained
1 can kidney beans - drained
Mix together and let set over night.

Just before serving add -
2 c. grated cheese
1 bag of Frito's

Grandma Fillmore's Famous Macaroni Salad

2 c. salad macaroni (boiled in salted water until tender)
8 hard boiled eggs - chopped up
1 c. celery
2-3 sliced small green onions
½ c. sliced olives
Mix together - add onion salt to taste and dash of pepper

Moisten with ½ c. salad dressing (Miracle Whip)
and ½ c. mayonnaise.
Add 2 cans of tiny shrimp drained - OPTIONAL

Chinese Hamburger Casserole

Brown..
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. celery
1 c. onion
Mix with...
1 c. rice
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
¼ c . soy sauce
1½ cans of water
1 can sliced and drained water chestnuts

Put in a 9x13 casserole dish, cover with foil, and bake @ 350º for 50-60 minutes, until all bubbly. Last 10 minutes remove foil and cover top with chinese noodles.
Serve with green salad, rolls, and a veggie.

Chili Cheese Dip Appetizers

1 lb. ground beef
1 packet chili seasoning
1 small can black olives, chopped
1 1/3 c. prepared salsa
1/2 pound Velveeta, cubed
1 bag Tostitos scoops

Brown ground beef in a large skillet, drain fat, return to skillet.
Add salsa and chili seasoning to beef and mix well.
Add Velveeta cubes and stir until cheese melts.
Assemble appetizers by adding 1 T. of mixture to one scoop.
Garnish with olives. (I just added the olives when I added the cheese and it was great)

Sloppy Joes

3 lbs. hamburger
1 t. salt
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. ketchup
1 can tomato soup
2 T. vinegar
2 T. worcestershire
2 T. brown sugar

Brown hamburger, drain. Add salt and onion and cook until tender.
Stir in remaining ingrediants and simmer for 30 minutes.

Crock Pot Chicken Alfredo

8 chicken breasts
2 cubes butter
2 packages Good Seasonings Italian dressing mix
2 packages cream cheese.
1 lg. can of cream of chicken soup + ½ can of water

Cook chicken, butter, and Good Seasoning on high until chicken is done, 3-4 hours.
Remove chicken.
Add remaining ingredients in crock pot and mix together.
Cut up chicken and place back in sauce in crock pot. Heat through on low for about 1 hour
Serve over fettuccine noodles.

Stop by Olive Garden, grab a bottle of salad dressing and some bread sticks to go and you have a fabulous dinner at home.

Poppy Seed Chicken

6 chicken breasts, (boiled or cooked) and cubed
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1½ c. sour cream
½ c. melted butter
Box of "Chicken in a Biscuit" crackers
2 t. poppy seeds

Put cubed chicken in a 9x13 pan. Mix soup and sour cream together, spread over chicken.
Crush crackers and sprinkle over top of chicken.
Sprinkle poppy seeds over top. Melt butter and drizzle over top.
Bake @ 350º for 30 minutes.
Serve over rice.

Baked Potato Soup

2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. flour
7 c. milk
4 potatoes (baked, cooled, peeled, and cubed)
4 sliced green onions
12 slices of bacon - cooked ( I use the bacon in the packages, not bacon bits, 1 pkg. of the cooked bacon)
1 ¼ c. shredded cheese
8 oz. sour cream

Melt butter in large soup pot, stir in flour, add milk, stir constantly until it starts to thicken. Add potatoes and onions. Bring back to boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add rest of ingredients, stir until cheese is melted.
Garish with additional sour cream, cheese, onions, and bacon.
Soooooooooo good, so good, so good !!!!!!!!!!!

Cookie Salad

1 c. buttermilk
1 package vanilla pudding
~mix together~
Fold in: 16 oz. cool whip
can of madrian oranges - drain juice
can of pineapple tidbits - drain juice
1/2 package of Keebler Striped cookies crushed
Crush and sprinkle remaing cookies on top of salad.

Sugar Cookies

2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 t. vanilla
1 t. salt
2 t. soda
6 t. baking powder
9 c. flour

Mix everything together but milk and flour. Add milk and flour last, alternately.
Chill at least 45 minutes.
Roll out and cut thick.
Bake @ 350º for 8-10 minutes.
Frost and enjoy !!!
Makes about 6 dozen.

Watergate Cake

No idea why this cake is named this....but it is delicious !!!!!!!!!!
1 yellow cake mix
3 eggs
¾ c. oil
1 small can mandarin oranges w/ juice

Mix all together - Bake @ 350º for 25 - 30 minutes.
Let cool.
Mix together and frost with:
1 can crushed pineapple - drained
1 lg. cool whip
1 lg. instant vanilla pudding
Mix together and spread over cake.

Raspberry Whip Salad - Simple and Delicious

lg. cool whip
1 package frozen raspberries - thawed
2-3 bananas - sliced
1 can pineapple tidbits - drain juice
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 - 1/3 c. lemon juice

Mix together and enjoy!!

No-Bake Cookies or Rolled Oat Custers

I got this recipe from my sis-in-law...thanks Shannon.

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. milk
3 T. cocoa
1 t. vanilla
1½ c. peanut butter

Bring to boil. Boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat.

Add:
3 c. oats
1 c. coconut
½ t. salt

Mix together and drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper to cool. Let cool!!
They don't last long....you might want to make two batches....one for everyone to eat right off the waxed paper (or out of the pan) and some for later in the week :0)

Grandma Fillmore's Veggie Dip

1 c. sour cream
1 c. mayonnaise
1 T. parsley
1 T. minced (or chopped) onion
1 ¼ t. dill weed
1 t. Bon Appetite

Mix together and chill. Serve with veggies.

Fruit Dip

1 lg. package vaniila instant pudding
1 c. milk
1 16 oz. sour cream

Mix together and chill.
Serve with fresh fruit.

SOOOO good !!

YUMMY Cream Puff Dessert

1/2 c. butter
1 c. boiling water
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 t. salt
4 eggs

Combine water, butter, and salt in a pan. Bring to boil. When boiling, remove from heat and add flour, all at once. Stir vigorously until ball forms. Let cool. ( I usually put it on a dinner plate, flatten it a little, and put it in the fridge, flipping it over once, until cool to the touch)

When cool, put in mixer and add eggs, one at a time, until mixed all together.
Spread on a greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 400º for 25 minutes. (You may end up with a few holes in the cream puff...don't worry, it'll be filled in with the yummy filling)
Let cool.

Top with.....
8 oz. cream cheese - softened
3 c. milk
1 lg. instant vanilla pudding
8 oz. cool whip
chocolate syrup

Mix milk and pudding together until thick. Add cream cheese and mix throughly. (It might take a few minutes to incorporate the cream cheese, mix until there are no lumps)
Spread over crust.
Then top that with the cool whip.

Drizzle with choclate just before serving.
